I buy Durham's Bee Balm in the States but it is easy enough to get sent over to the UK.
This is brilliant when you have insect bites, it is very effective for mosquito bites. It is reported to be very good for shingles as well although I am lucky enough to have never had to put it to the test for this.

Serrapeptase is the enzyme silkworms produce to digest mulberry leaves and produce silk.
A synthetic form of this has been created which is a very good anti-inflammatory supplement. I took this after a pretty big operation and suffered none of the infections that can occur in spite of taking antibiotics. I take it daily on an empty stomach to help keep my arteries clear as it gobbles up dead matter like plaque in our arteries. I am fast approaching the age when my Mom had a massive brain haemmhorage after developing high blood pressure at 37 and having her first stroke at 42. Taking serrapeptase in conjunction with pycnogenol for good measure, I have pretty perfect blood pressure. Serrapeptase really comes into its own when toothache occurs. I take double my usual 120,000iu twice a day and it just removes the pain. I don't know how it does it, but it works which is pretty brilliant! Who wouldn't love something which takes toothache away! :-) Since I last posted I have found a good, reasonably priced source of serrapeptase, which I believe ships worldwide. www.vitacure.co.uk is a reliable company with a small range of good quality supplements. They have the highest strength of serrapeptase (250,000iu) that I have found at the best prices. My blood pressure is still normal and my husband is still doing very well 20 years after a double heart by-pass. We started taking nattokinase as well a couple of years ago as this reduces blood stickiness, and a capsule is a far more palatable way of consuming natto, which according to a food programme on TV, smells and tastes vile! Both serrapeptase and nattokinase are enzymes, so need to be taken on an empty stomach, if not they will just behave as a digestive enzyme. We take ours at night. |
