The following stores stock gluten free alternatives to many of our favourite foods:

Tesco's 'Free From' range comprises many foods from gluten free pasta to gluten free sausages.

The French Oven Bakery, Grainger Market, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5QF
I have never really missed bread but since November 2011 when I discovered this, I have eaten bread for the first time in 13 years.

It is from the French Oven and it is made from spelt flour, which contains only a tiny amount of gluten and the bread itself contains only a small amount of yeast, which is better for those of us prone to candida.
It was delicious and I had quite forgotten what bread tasted like, and oh the joy of cheese on toast after all these years!
